I am a new resident to Vallejo, and the road on street is in desperate need for improvements. It has become a safety issue because I have been close to accidents from opposite drivers trying to avoid the numerous potholes on the road. I hope that this issue gets fixed promptly as it is affecting me and others. Thank you. If any questions I can be reached at 707-631-9549.

You bet! If cars avoiding pot holes is a problem, imagine what riding a bike down Branciforte -- avoiding both potholes and cars -- is like. I used to do that until some months ago when both my bike and I were permanently damaged by a section of road bed collapsing under me. Please look at the pictures of three blocks (Tennessee to Ohio) of Branciforte road surface that I posted here, back then. I was hoping to photograph the rest of the street later, but I haven't been able to get out so much recently.
Don't even mention wheelchair access: broken sidewalks, no curb cuts at many Branciforte intersections; broken, uplifted, or sunken curbs at many others. With sidewalks in mind, here's a question: The City says that repairing a broken sidewalk is the adjacent homeowners responsibility. What about a case where the city-maintained (sic) roadbed has collapsed, followed by the curb and sidewalk beginning to slide into the resulting hole? What about a roadbed-originated crack extending across the sidewalk to their home's foundation? (see my pictures for examples of all of these) Who's responsibility? Who's cost?
