i reported two drains blocked full of gravel at the intersections of Valley View/Taurus and Valley View/Merriewood just AFTER the last big rain, and I asked PWA for an inspection to identify the source of the gravel. Evidently, either the inspection was not done, or the inspection was done but was ineffective.

City of Oakland Public Works Agency addressed this issue on 04/06/2012, service request # 403481.

FYI: just learned a neighbor removed the gravel out of concern about safety just as I was posting this request. This is a long term issue, as debris from the neighborhood often washes down to this storm drain, clogs, and then we have water and debris pouring over the road. Any ideas for a long term solution? otherwise I'm certain we'll be contacted public works throughout the rainy season. It's caused the pavement in the area to be compromised (which you fixed once or more already). Thanks,
