This house is being sold and touting 2 car parking, however, when cars are parked in this spot they block the sidewalk. I have a stroller and had to go on the street once as you can see in the picture attached - it’s extremely dangerous and this listing language should be taken down.

Is this even a legal driveway?
Can parked cars block any part of a sidewalk? I believe the answers should be no and no…Checkk out the Zillow listing for this addressand take action on this pleasee: https://www.zillow.com/homedetails/137-Manhattan-Ave-Jersey-City-NJ-07307/38897470_zpid/

  • Sherman Pl & Summit Ave Jersey City, NJ, 07307, USA - The Heights

This is an extremely dangerous intersection, both for pedestrians and drivers.

It’s hard to inch out of the intersection when you’re driving on Sherman Pl due to poor visibility of cars parked close to the crosswalk.

Cars parked close to the crosswalk also make it difficult to see pedestrians when speeding down Summit Avenue (which people do)

Please do a study for a stop sign

Please also place temporary fixtures to prevent cars from parking too close to the crosswalk.

    Thank you!!Parks

Hi there! Is there an update to fixing the sensor on the splash pad? The sensor piece is now entirely broken and missing (previously just partly broken haha) and collecting water with little kids putting their hands in there which is extremely unsanitary!

I understand that these pieces are hard to get and you need properly trained staff experts to fix a lot of the splash pad issues at Pershing (including the timer, the leak inside the box, and two broken large spouts) - please advise where this is on the list / how far along we are in the process to fix.

Thanks so much, super appreciate your time!

3 pieces of park equipment are now gone due to be broken at Pershing Field Park -
    1. In the toddler area, a spinning seat
    2. Also in the toddler area, a little bouncing bike
    3. In the children's area, the tire swing

Please fix these promptly / let us know an ETA on them being replaced!

Thanks so much for all that you do.

I believe this should be a working sprinkler on the splash pad that is broken that has stagnant water, icky water. It should either be fixed as a working sprinkler or capped off as the little ones try to put their hands and feet and inside, which is unsafe and unsanitary. It's a problem in the off season too as rainwater and gunk still gather. Thanks :)

We have a very tough driveway spot to back out of as a large tree is in the way, unfortunately it's magnified when all too often cars park into our driveway. It's unfortunate because there are two spots for cars between our driveway and our neighbor's driveway, however if the front car doesn't park correctly there is not enough room for a second causing this problem for our driveway.

We would love lines pained for our driveway and I'd also recommend lines painted suggesting where two cars would fit to park between the driveways. Thanks so much for your help! We really feel for people due to the lack of parking but this has been becoming a hazard for us lately.

I live equidistant between Pershing field park and Leonard Gordon park. Pershing field - generally clean and well maintained. Leonard Gordon park- very much the opposite.

I understand the park will be under renovation "soon"-however, until then it cannot be forgotten. There is sharp broken glass and bottle caps EVERYWHERE and the trash is overflowing. I take my 15 month old who loves to explore in the dirt and grass and I have to pick her up for her safety as she has repeatedly picked up glass instead of a rock. It is mind boggling how the city has allowed this to happen. It is extremely unsafe and sad for our children to not be able to enjoy this beautiful green space.

Additionally, as many have reported the gazebo is often frequented by folks doing illegal things like graffiti, selling weed, etc. would love the city to find ways to make this part of the park more safe for our kids too. I never have gone up to the gazebo out of fear- would love to one day.

One of the doors coming into Pershing field playground for the side street is loose or broken, the handle tips up and eventually the wind opens the door, which is a big hazard with kiddos running out! Thanks I'm advance for your help :)

This abandoned building now has two broken windows which are a public hazard. The delicatessen also has a metal material that is hanging over the sidewalk, another public hazard. If the city needs to rectify this, these buildings cannot remain abandoned like this. Please send me an email with an update on this situation. I will also bring this up to my local neighborhood association.

This is a very dangerous crossing as there is no speed hump or stop sign on Sanford place. It's very hard to turn onto Sanford from Sherman as the view is often obstructed by parked cars. It's a Hail Mary we haven't gotten into an accident as we have come close at least 3 times. Additionally we have a young 12 month old and crossing this street to get to the park is dangerous as cars speed down the road, they don't stop for pedestrians. Have had a close call walking as well. Please evaluate a speed hump!
