Issue acknowledged. We will contact the person identified by the phone number on the sign. We have obscured the number on the sign intentionally. We will post the results and the associated ordinance on SeeClickfix today.
Could you comment on use of utility polls to post signs? With town meeting approaching, it's a good time to refresh everyone's memory. A reminder from BED posted on FPF would be good, too.
The city ordinance reads as follows:
21-5 Signs in public ways; on vehicles.
(b) No person or business shall place or cause to be placed any advertisement or sign, sandwich board sign, or other type of advertising material or structure in or on any streets, sidewalks, greenbelts, or other rights-of-way within the limits of the city except as permitted in subsections (c), (d), and (e) of this section.
We called the phone number on the sign to inform the person/business that they have violated Burlington City ordinance. The phone message stated that the number was no longer in service.
