The fire hydrant has been leaking for 2 weeks. Gallons of water per hour are wasted that tax payers are paying for. Now the water is freezing and the side walk at the crossing is slippery, adding safety issue to the waste of precious waterxand extra expense.

If it is still leaking I suggest you call your alderperson

“the FD is aware of this hydrant. It’s undermining and someone from FD maintenance division will be fixing it.”

It was reported by a member of the NHFD two weeks ago. If it freezes it can be be dangerous

The hydrant is at least not leaking anymore. Does not look totally fixed and usuable in case of fire, but at least no waste of water and sidewalk danger. Thank you.

hydrant was replaced back in service on 12/04/19
