Thanks for reporting! Trees on private property are and have always been the responsibility of the homeowner. As good stewards of trees, the City does require a permit to trim, remove, or replace a tree on private property, regardless of whether or not it is in the City right-of-way, so that we may ensure the trimming, removal, or planting is properly performed.
We have inspected this location and determined that some of the branches of this tree are impeding the right-of-way and may hinder first response vehicles and our street sweepers. Because of this, crews are being assigned to trim the branches that are impeding the right-of-way.
