Description
Mini dr and Stanford dr should have a 4 way stop. Last night (1/15/15 there were two accidents) the first was a pedestrian that was struck at 6:40pm and the second involved two vehicles at about 10:00pm. I live right on the corner of mini and Stanford and have also had a car hit my retaining wall, and was also rear ended while turning into my driveway a few months back. There are many children who play at the park right here , and a few have almost been hit by cars speeding down mini. There should be a 4 way stop and possibly a lightened pedestrian walkway that is solar powered. There lighting on our street is very poor. Something needs to be done, and fast. I've lived here for almost three years and have seen at least 15 accidents right at this intersection. Who do we need to contact to get this resolved?

Emily, thanks for the reminder to update everyone on this report! The traffic data received from the engineer's study did not warrant the installation of an all-way stop. The Traffic Engineer also spoke with the Police Department regarding the number of collisions they respond to at this location to determine if that would change the outcome of the report; it did not. The Traffic Engineer is currently looking into additional signage options due to it being near a school zone. If it meets the criteria for additional signage, it will be ordered and installed.
