The meters are a nightmare. They all need to be maintained. I should not be taxed, unrepresented and inconvenienced. It is unacceptable to have the meter take your money, not register it and then you need to find another meeter to put your remaining money in. There needs to be a better way to manage parking so folks can get a ver errands done, spend money in Oakland and not be paranoid about getting a $50 parking ticket. Orinda - no meters, great shopping.
